Today my coworker said something very nice and sincere about me. I was (am) truly touched. It didn't cost her anything to tell me what she thought, but I was impressed and flattered. She's been a real breath of fresh air here in the office, and I'm grateful for having her around.
I wonder why we don't say such things more often to each other. I think of the great Louis Armstrong singing about friends shaking hands, saying "How do you do?" / They're really saying "I love you."
I love that thought. I honestly think that there is sufficient love in the world. I just think we need to get better at expressing that to each other.
I love you.
I really do.
