So apparently some people can't play nice.

I don't understand.

I can't understand.

But I also can't allow this kind of vitriolic venom to spew into my world. So comments will be moderated before they get "out there".

It is a very strange time for me. I hardly know which end of the world is up any more. I am being called things I have never been called before, with accusations being made that don't make any sense to me. My only conclusion is that they are false.

Sorry, I keep hoping this will all simmer down, but someone keeps turning up the flame under the pot *Sigh*

I for one think you're great so who cares what anyone else thinks! (Unless they think you're great too of course *wink*)

It's interesting how in other comments I am the world's best guy, then I am a filthy hypocrite and liar. Perhaps I am... Sometimes I confuse myself. I admit that! But I am just trying to muddle through this the best I can, same as everyone.

One thing I can't tolerate is aspersions being cast on my family. That's beyond the pale: something anathema to everything that I have been taught as a Christian. And ultimately that's what pushed me over the edge.

I don't care anymore. I am not wasting any more time worrying about it. Sounds a little ruthless, I am sure. Maybe I like being ruthless. At least for a while. >:-D

We are all hypocrites. Since perfection is literally impossible in this lifetime, my goal is just to be the nicest hypocrite I can be while trying to be a tiny bit less hypocritical than the day before.

My father-in-law used to sing a song called "Make the World Go Away." Gordon and I sing it to each other when times get tough. It's a funny old cowboy song, but the message is still true.

Excommunication

My heart is heavy this morning. I read that Kate Kelly and others are being brought up on Church disciplinary action. For those who are unfamiliar with the process/proceedings of LDS Church discipline, it can be a bit mystifying. There are several levels of censure that the Church may impose. These range from a simple removal of some privileges for a short period of time to the most severe action - excommunication. When one is excommunicated, the person's membership in the Church is terminated. It is a very extreme measure, and for the faithful it can be a very difficult thing to consider. What people don't understand - what is nearly impossible for someone outside the proceedings to understand - is the amount of love felt. It's discipline. It's intended to be harsh (at times). Ephesus

Paul got around. Ephesus is right on the Aegean Sea, on the coast of present-day Turkey. Yesterday he was in Galatia, which was much more towards the middle of Turkey. And when he actually wrote these letters, he was in Rome... So the man could travel. He probably walked. Today's item of interest comes from chapter one in Ephesians. Verses 18 and 19 are particularly interesting: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power This is not the first time Paul talks about an inheritance.
