The seed rests lightly on the soil
It has been brought to this location
By a series of events
Far from the original plant
Its mother, its father
Are long distant, far away
Their part in creating the seed
Is done
The seed was brought
Along warm breezes
Carried by ephemeral gossamer strands
Its own personal cloud
Settling down in a safe location
To wait for perfect conditions
A gentle rain
Life-giving sunshine
And slowly the seed spreads
Its tendrils reaching eagerly
For the rich soil
And the nutrients found therein
Sending forth at the same time
The first tender leaflets
The trunk is started
The branches follow
And soon a mighty tree is formed
Sending forth its own seeds
You cannot hurry-up the process
Of forming the tree
All that is required
Is patience.
Patience.
