It starts slowly
When conditions are right
One molecule at a time
Who knows why or how?
It just is
Perhaps the stars twinkling begins it
For it only happens on clear nights
When no cloud obscures the heavens
Born in darkness
These ephemeral jewels
Accumulate slowly
On blades and tufts and branches
Yet it is in the morning that they truly shine
Catching the rays from the day at birth
The sun turns all into diamonds
That clarify with purity and glory
Bringing beauty and joy and peace
Not to be denied
These tiny jewels
Are set free from their starting point
And they accumulate further
Into fountains pure
Becoming
Waters to swim in
1 Corinthians 14:25
And thus are the secret of his heart made manifest
