(note: one of my resolutions this year is to write a poem a week. They may be interspersed with other entries, short, long, rhyming, reasonable. Whatever. But they're for you. I hope you enjoy.)
Janus looked
Forward
And Backward
Seeing the future
And the past
While living in the present
Strange oracle!
This mythical being
Sees all
Mistakes made
Lessons learned
Clay shaped
The vessel knows not
The final shape
But trusts
The potter's hand
Forms gently
Inexorably
He knows
What He wants
And what the clay may be
