So, last night, we were at Ammon's induction ceremony for National Honor Society. I am really quite proud of the young man. He's an intelligent, fun, and handsome young man, and I like him a lot. Last night, they read each inductee's name and a little blurb about them. This blurb was self-reported and chosen from a series of things they filled out on a form. The blurbs were read by students who are the current leadership of the local NHS group. So they get to Ammon and his talents include - playing the piano, cooking, and "romancing the ladies." Yep. That's what he said. Everyone else was talking about Gandhi or Abraham Lincoln or Dr. Seuss or just the Doctor . But not my boy. I was pleased, mainly. These things tend to be long on inanities and short on substance. But the idea of my boy "romancing the ladies"?!? Amusing.
